Patient and Public Involvement allows patients to be involved in decisions about their care and lets communities be involved in their local health service.

Everyone is different and how you prepare for your stay will depend upon the treatment or operation you require. We will send you written information specific to your operation, treatment or investigation when we confirm your admission details.
We understand that getting better involves more than just medical treatment. Provided your care team feels you are well enough for visitors, we make sure your friends and family are always welcome. For us it’s more than just treating patients, it’s about looking after people. We ask visitors to phone the hospital before they visit.
We are an elective care provider that does not routinely admit emergencies via accident and emergency. However, where a patient needs to be readmitted as an emergency there is a theatre team available 24 hours a day. All surgeons use only the hip joint replacements recommended in NICE guidelines.
